The Matawan Police Department and Office of Emergency Management are currently monitoring a significant winter storm forecasted to affect our area beginning tomorrow, February 22nd into Monday, February 23rd. Current forecasts indicate sowfall amounts anywhere between twelve and twenty-four inches with blizzard conditions. A Blizzard Warning is in effect for our area from 10:00am tomorrow morning, through 6:00pm Monday, February 23rd.
Please be reminded that current Borough Ordinance
prohibits parking on any Borough street when snow-covered and mandates the clearing of sidewalks within 12 hours of daylight after the snow has fallen.
In the event power outages occur due to severe weather, customers without power are encouraged to report their outage to JCP&L by calling 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877), clicking the “Report Outage” link on
