WINTER STORM PARKING & SNOW REMOVAL NOTICE
Hawthorne Police Department Traffic Bureau
A winter storm with the potential for significant snowfall is forecasted for Sunday, February 22, 2026 into Monday, February 23, 2026.
Essential Borough personnel will be actively engaged in snow removal operations. Residents are strongly encouraged to remove vehicles from public streets whenever possible to allow the Department of Public Works to plow curb-to-curb and to ensure emergency responders have unobstructed access throughout the Borough.
Temporary Overnight Parking
Beginning Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 3:00 PM, overnight parking will be permitted at the following school properties:
Washington School
Roosevelt School
Lincoln Middle School
Vehicles parked on school property must not block entrances, exits, or driveways. All vehicles must be removed no later than Monday, February 23, 2026 at 1:00 PM
Snow Emergency Ordinance Chapter 505-75

Sidewalk Snow Removal Ordinance Chapter 444-44
Property owners are responsible for removing snow and/or ice from sidewalks within eight (8) hours of daylight after the snowfall has ended. The ordinance may be reviewed at:
