The following is a message from the Fairfield Police Department:
As a result of the forecasted snowfall, an alternate side parking ban will take effect in the Town of Fairfield beginning Sunday February 22nd at 6:00AM.
For the purpose of facilitating the plowing and removal of snow and ice, and to prevent the obstruction of traffic due to snow or ice accumulation, alternate side of the street parking shall take effect beginning Sunday February 22nd at 6:00AM.
Parking on the ODD numbered side of any public street in the Town of Fairfield will be PROHIBITED. This is effective beginning and will last for 36 hours, or sooner if the ban is lifted.
Any vehicle found standing or parked in violation of this order may be issued a parking ticket and/or removed by towing at the discretion of the Fairfield Police Department. Towing would be at the owner's expense.
Parking in any Board of Education or Public School parking lot is prohibited and vehicles are subject to tow at the owner’s expense.
