§ 510-27
Snow emergency parking restrictions.
A.
A snow emergency requiring snow removal operations shall be deemed to exist whenever:
(1)
The Director of Public Works is contacted by Central Communications at the request of the Police Department;
(2)
The Department of Public Works is directed to begin snow removal by the Township Manager;
(3)
The Burlington County Highway Department has begun winter weather operations; and/or
(4)
Two inches of snow has accumulated.
B.
Whenever a snow emergency shall exist, no vehicle shall be parked on any street or highway or portion thereof within the Township. The above parking prohibitions shall remain in effect after the snow has ceased until the streets have been plowed sufficiently and to the extent that parking will not interfere with the normal flow of traffic.
C.
Any unoccupied vehicle parked or standing in violation shall be deemed a nuisance and a menace to the safe and proper regulation of traffic, and any police officer may provide for the removal of such vehicle. The owner shall pay the reasonable costs of the removal and storage which may result from such removal before regaining possession of the vehicle.
