Berkeley Township OEM: February winter storm message.


Berkeley Township Residents can expect to experience a significant winter storm starting Sunday (February 22, 2026) through Monday (February 23, 2026). These conditions include the following:

Blizzard conditions - 18”-24” of snow

Winds reach speeds in excess of 40mph – high winds may cause power outages. If you intend to use a generator to power your home, please do so safely.

It is expected that Bayview Ave will become impassable due to snow accumulation and flooding, especially during periods of high tide.

Berkeley Residents that along the Atlantic Ocean and Barnegat Bay that wish to move their vehicles to higher ground can temporarily park their vehicles at Veteran’s Park, Forest Hills Soccer Field, and Eastern Soccer Field complexes.

Trash and Recycling collection for Berkeley Township has been suspended for Monday February 23, 2026. Follow on suspended pick ups will be determined later.

Please move all vehicles and trailers from the roadway, so not to impede plowing operations.

The expected storm conditions are significant and may cause delays in emergency response. Please be patient.

Please stay off the roadways if possible. If you need to drive, please do so safely and leave plenty of time for travel.
