Blizzard Warning
We are expecting a major snow event to begin early tomorrow morning and continue into Monday. Current reports are calling for approximately 14 inches of accumulation, with potential for blizzard conditions with high winds. To allow for snow plowing operations to be conducted, we are instructing all residents to remove their vehicles from the roadways prior to the storm beginning. This will be crucial for allowing our DPW to properly plow our roadways, especially our narrow roads. If you are unable to park your vehicle in a driveway, you should utilize alternative parking locations throughout the Borough. These locations will be listed on the Borough of Metuchen social media accounts.
All residents are also reminded to clear snow from sidewalks, walkways and driveway entrances within 12 hours of daylight after the snow fall ends to ensure safe pedestrian travel throughout the borough. In addition, Monday’s garbage collection is being rescheduled for Tuesday and Tuesday collection will be rescheduled to Wednesday.
