A Coastal Flood Warning is currently in effect for certain coastal areas in New York City. Residents living in coastal areas may experience flooding in basements and basement apartments. New Yorkers living in basement apartments are reminded to be prepared to move to higher ground or a higher floor if their space becomes flooded. STAY OUT of flooded basements under all circumstances.
Please call 311 if you encounter flooding that makes roads impassable, causes property damage, or persists for more than 48 hours.
