Severe Weather Update #2
Saturday 2/21/26 1:00pm
Oahu remains under a Flash Flood Warning until 2:15pm today, Saturday 2/21. Heavy rains are impacting the island and causing flooding in streams and roadways, especially in Windward areas. The Flash Flood Warning may be extended beyond 2:15pm if conditions do not improve.
The Oahu Emergency Operations Center is activated and monitoring weather conditions with the National Weather Service. Follow all instructions from emergency officials.
Stay off the roads. If you must drive, use extreme caution. Roads may be blocked or partially closed due to fallen trees, rocks, or debris. Use caution and watch for crews working in the area. Be aware of officers directing traffic. Check for storm-related road closures.
Current City facilities and operations closures:
- Honolulu Zoo is closed
- Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden is closed
- Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park ballfields are closed
- Pali Golf Course has suspended play
- Hanauma Bay is closed due to brown water

Follow DEM on social media, encourage others to sign up for HNL Alert, and monitor local TV/radio. Help keep lines clear for first responders. Call 911 for emergencies only.
