INCIDENT: Weapons and Narcotics Arrest
LOCATION: 10000 Block of Fourth Avenue, Hesperia
SUSPECT(S): Coltin Fant, 32-year-old, Resident of Hesperia
Michael Sardegna Jr., 30-year-old, Resident of Hesperia
SUMMARY:
Investigators from the Apple Valley Station Gang Enforcement Team and detective bureau followed up on an investigation involving illegal firearms possession. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle related to the investigation and contacted the driver, Coltin Fant, who was found in possession of an unserialized firearm. Fant was detained without incident.
As the investigation continued, the Gang Enforcement Team served a search warrant at a residence located in the 10000 block of Fourth Avenue. Michael Sardegna Jr., was contacted at the location and found to be in possession of firearms, suspected methamphetamine, destructive devices and high-capacity magazines. In addition, there were three stolen vehicles located on the property. All items were recovered.
Fant was arrested and booked on charges of PC182(A)(1) - Conspiracy, PC25850(A) - Carry a loaded firearm, PC32310(A) - Possession of a large capacity magazine, PC496D(A) - Possession of stolen property. Fant is being held at the High Desert Detention Center in lieu of $30,000 bail.
Sardegna Jr. was arrested and booked on charges of HS11370.1(A) - Possession of a controlled substance while armed, and PC18710(A) -Possession of a destructive device. Sardegna is being held at the High Desert Detention Center in lieu of $290,000 bail.
