MOONACHIE PD: NO PARKING ON SNOW-COVERED STREETS
Sunday, February 22, heavy snow is expected to begin during the day, continuing into Monday afternoon. 12 inches of snow, or more, is expected. Parking in Moonachie, on snow-covered streets, is prohibited by Borough Ordinance. This restriction is to allow for the proper clearing of snow and ice and the safe passage of emergency vehicles.
Vehicles left parked on snow-covered streets will be ticketed and may be towed.
Moonachie Borough Hall parking lot may NOT be used as off-street parking. It must remain empty throughout the storm to allow regular clearing for borough personnel and emergency vehicles. Vehicles left in the Brough lot will be towed.
If you have no other options to remove your car from the street, you may park at the Redneck Avenue baseball field parking lot, if necessary. You should move cars from the street before the snow begins.
Thank you.
Stay safe.
