As we prepare for the upcoming storm, please review the following important updates:
Trash Collection Delay
Trash pickup will be delayed by one day this week.
If your regular collection day is Monday, it will move to Tuesday, and so on for the remainder of the week, similar to a holiday schedule.
Parking Ban
A town-wide parking ban will be in effect:
February 22 at 10:00 PM through February 23 at 10:00 PM
During this time:
- No parking on main roads
- No parking on either side of side streets
This allows DPW crews and contractors to safely and efficiently clear roadways.
After the Storm
- Sidewalks must be cleared within 24 hours after the storm ends.
- Residents are encouraged to assist the Fire Department by clearing fire hydrants in their neighborhood.

Have you enrolled in our new Alert System?
- You will have to self register for our new system called Regroup using the following options:
- Visit: townofwestspringfield.org/emergencyalerts
- Or call Carly in the Mayor’s Office at 413-495-1844 and leave her a message with your name, preferred phone number, address, and email address for your registration.
- We will be switching to our new Alert System on March 1st. If you do not self enroll you will be removed from our Robo Call, Email, and Text Messaging through Nixle.
