South Brunswick Township is expected to experience a significant winter storm beginning this afternoon and continuing through Monday.
TIMELINE:
- Rain will transition to wet snow by mid–late afternoon.
- Snow becomes heavy this evening, especially between 8 PM – 10 PM through early Monday morning.
- Snow tapers off Monday afternoon, ending between 3 PM – 6 PM.
SNOWFALL:
- Total accumulation expected: 12–18 inches
- Periods of 1–2 inches per hour, with localized heavier bands possible.
IMPACTS:
- Roads will become snow-covered and hazardous this evening.
- Visibility will be significantly reduced during heavy snowfall.
- Strong winds (gusts 40–45 mph) may create blizzard-like conditions.
- Risk of downed trees and power outages due to heavy, wet snow.
