Winter Storm In Progress - Please Stay Off the Roadways - Monroe Twp. Schools & Municipal Facilities Closed Tomorrow
The winter storm currently impacting our area is expected to intensify over the next several hours and continue through tomorrow afternoon. The National Weather Service is forecasting snowfall totals exceeding 12 inches locally. Residents are strongly encouraged to remain off the roadways to allow the Township Department of Public Works to conduct snow removal and salting operations safely and efficiently.
Please be advised that Monroe Township Public Schools and all Municipal Facilities will be closed tomorrow, Monday, February 23rd, 2026.
All vehicles and garbage containers must be removed from roadways in accordance with Monroe Township Ordinances 122-21 and 122-23.
Unnecessary travel during this storm poses a significant risk to public safety. Hazardous road conditions may substantially delay emergency response and snow removal efforts. Residents are urged to avoid travel unless it is absolutely essential.
