The Brick Township Police Department and Office of Emergency Management are issuing a update before conditions continue deteriorate. At this time the Emergency Operations Center has been activated. This is projected to be the largest winter storm our area has faced in the past 10 years. We urge all residents to take these mandates seriously for the safety of our community.
⚠️ MANDATORY TRAVEL BAN
Effective 18:00 Hours (6:00 PM): A formal Travel Ban is in effect. Roads are restricted ONLY to authorized emergency personnel and life-safety emergencies.
Stay Off Roads: Unauthorized vehicles on the roadway hinder emergency response and plowing operations. Please remain home.
Current Road Conditions: Residents are advised that significant snow accumulation has already begun on all township roadways. There is no need to travel to assess conditions; the streets are turning white, and driving at this time creates unnecessary hazards for emergency crews and yourself.
🏢 CLOSURES FOR MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23RD

🚜 DPW & SNOW REMOVAL
Collections: There will be NO trash or recycling collection tomorrow, Monday, February 23rd.
Expectations: Due to the historic nature of this storm and large snow drifts, we ask for realistic expectations regarding snow removal timing. DPW will be deploying all 76 vehicles with snow removal capabilities throughout the township for the duration of this snowstorm.
Reporting: There has now been a change in reporting; DPW will not be answering phones due to all hands being on deck to aid in the removal of snow. To report unplowed streets, click here: https://www.bricknj.gov/departments/public_works/snow_plowing.php
