Winter Storm Update 2/22/26– Aberdeen Township

Dear Resident,

Snow is now falling and accumulating across Aberdeen Township, and conditions are expected to worsen as the storm continues.

The National Weather Service is forecasting 18–24 inches of snow for Aberdeen, with the heaviest snowfall and strongest winds expected tonight. Travel conditions may become very difficult or impossible.

Residents are strongly urged to stay off the roads unless travel is absolutely necessary, especially overnight. Unnecessary travel creates dangerous conditions for motorists, emergency responders, and snow removal crews.

Please follow all snow emergency parking guidelines. Keeping vehicles off neighborhood streets allows our Department of Public Works crews to plow and treat roads more quickly and safely.

Residents are encouraged to charge phones and electronic devices, secure emergency supplies, and prepare for storm conditions that may continue into Monday.

If you experience a power outage, report it directly to Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) at 1-888-544-4877 or online at www.firstenergycorp.com. Please do not call 911 for power outages unless there is an immediate emergency.
