SNOWSTORM UPDATE – STAY OFF THE ROADWAYS, SCHOOLHOUSE RD. IS CLOSED, MULTIPLE TREES & WIRES DOWN
As of this morning, 15+ inches of snow have already accumulated throughout Monroe Township. Heavy snowfall is expected to continue through the early afternoon hours.
Roadway conditions are extremely hazardous, and visibility is very poor. For your safety, and to assist the Department of Public Works and emergency responders, residents are strongly urged to remain off all roadways unless travel is absolutely essential.
There are currently multiple trees and downed wires reported throughout the Township.
Road Closure:
Schoolhouse Road is CLOSED between Perrineville Road and Buckelew Avenue due to a downed tree, utility pole, and live wires. Please avoid this area and seek alternate routes.
Residents are reminded to keep all vehicles off roadways to allow snowplowing and salting operations to proceed safely and efficiently.
