Snow continues across Maple Shade this morning, with additional accumulation expected through the day. Forecasts indicate continued snowfall with gusty winds and periods of reduced visibility. Road conditions remain hazardous, particularly on secondary streets and untreated surfaces.
Maple Shade Police, the Department of Public Works, and the Maple Shade Office of Emergency Management are actively working throughout the township. Crews remain focused on maintaining access for emergency vehicles and critical services. Our goal currently is to make roads safe and passable; clean up efforts will begin after the storm has ended.
A Travel Restriction has been issued by the State of New Jersey, residents are urged to limit travel to essential purposes only. Even as snowfall begins to taper, roads remain snow-covered and slippery. Please allow plow crews the space they need to operate safely and efficiently.
Shoveling heavy, wet snow can place significant strain on the body. Seek assistance early if you need help. Check on elderly neighbors and those who may need support with snow removal or supplies.
Please continue keeping vehicles off roadways to allow plow access and emergency response.
