Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection to a burglary incident.
On February 14th at approximately 2:33 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 600 block of North Market Street in reference to a burglary that had just occurred. Upon arrival, officers observed a subject matching the description of the suspect leaving the area of the incident. Officers attempted to make contact with the subject and the subject fled the area on foot. After a short pursuit, officers took 40-year-old Earl Mckinney into custody without further incident. Officers recovered proceeds that were stolen from the burglary.
Mckinney has been charged with the following offenses:
- Burglary (Second Degree)
- Theft Under $1500
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending further proceedings.
