The Brick Township Police Department is issuing an urgent update regarding the ongoing massive snowstorm. Conditions across the Township have reached extremely hazardous levels.
⚠️ TRAVEL BAN REMAINS IN EFFECT
A mandatory travel ban is currently active. Please stay off the roads.
Hazardous Conditions: Visibility is near zero and roads are impassable in many areas.
Falling Trees: Due to the extreme weight of the heavy, wet snow, we are seeing a high volume of falling trees and large limbs.
DO NOT attempt to pass or go around fallen trees. These trees often bring down power lines with them, creating a fatal hazard.
Power Outages: Numerous intersections are without power. Treat any dark intersection as a four-way stop.

Expect Restoration Delays: JCP&L crews cannot safely operate bucket trucks in high winds and blizzard conditions. Restoration will take time.
Danger: DO NOT drive over wires and DO NOT approach them. If you observe an active fire at a utility pole or transformer, call 911 immediately.
