We urge residents to stay off the road as our plow crews and utility companies work to restore power and keep our roadways clear.
As the snow continues to accumulate, we want to put out some important information for our residents. Our officers are responding to an increased number of downed power lines and disabled vehicles. Remember, there is a travel ban in effect and we urge residents to stay off the road as our plow crews and utility companies work to restore power and keep our roadways as clean as possible.
There are approximately 30,000 New Jersey residents without power, if you see a telephone pole sparking or downed wires keep a safe distance and call us. Please report any power outages to JCP&L promptly.
In the event of a code blue, Adrain Hall will be open as a warming center.
If you know of someone that is elderly and alone or has special needs, please reach out to us so we can check on them. To request an officer for a non-emergency, you can contact the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department Radio Room at 732-349-2010 and ask for Ocean Gate.
