Advisory

WINTER STORM UPDATE CLICK ON LINK

The Brick Township Police Department would like to thank our residents for their continued patience and cooperation as we navigate the aftermath of this significant winter storm. While the heaviest snowfall has begun to subside, we are now entering the most critical phase of our recovery and cleanup operations.

⚠️ Important Safety Request: Stay Off the Roadways

For the safety of our community and the efficiency of our crews, we kindly ask that all residents remain at home and off the roads. * Active Hazards: While the snow has slowed, our roadways remain hazardous. Crews are working diligently to clear deep snow, downed trees, and power lines.

Traffic Signal Outages: Due to widespread power outages, many traffic lights throughout the Township remain out. Please remember that any intersection with a non-functioning signal must be treated as a Four-Way Stop.

Commercial Closures: For the safety of employees and the public, all shopping plazas and local stores are currently closed. There is no need to travel for supplies at this time; please stay home and allow crews to clear the parking lots and access roads.

Protecting Our First Responders: Venturing out to explore the storm damage creates unnecessary risks. By staying home, you ensure that our first responders can focus their resources on life-safety emergencies rather than assisting stranded motorists.

🔌 Power & Medical Support

Oxygen Needs: If you or a loved one are running low on medical oxygen due to the power outages, please contact our non-emergency line at 732-262-1100 immediately so we can assist you.

Outage Reporting: To help keep our emergency lines open, please do not contact Dispatch for power updates. For the latest restoration timelines or to report an outage, please visit the JCP&L Website.

🏘️ Municipal Services & School Closures
Schools: All Brick Township Public Schools will be CLOSED tomorrow, February 24.

Sanitation: There will be no trash or recycling collection tomorrow. Please ensure all containers are moved away from the curb to allow our plows to clear the streets safely.

Plowing Updates: Our DPW crews are working around the clock. We understand this takes time, and we appreciate your grace as they work through each neighborhood. To report a specific plowing matter, please visit the Brick
Township Official Website. https://www.bricknj.gov/departments/public_works/snow_plowing.php?hl=en-US&fbclid=IwdGRjcAQJjnFjbGNrBAmOa2V4dG4DYWVtAjExAHNydGMGYXBwX2lkDDM1MDY4NTUzMTcyOAABHpAKSQEUY_4lw54wdqtaKiN4fyk68Ip1Bxx4UrewRXxTlcYbq77PUVIgjRyr_aem_Lk579T2XVx-uC4Frx9ORwA

We are committed to restoring our roads and services as quickly and safely as possible. We thank you for your partnership in keeping Brick Township safe.

In the event of an emergency, please dial 9-1-1.
