STORM UPDATE – MONDAY AFTERNOON:
As the storm comes to an end, residents are advised to avoid any unnecessary travel. Temperatures are expected to drop into the low 20s overnight, which may result in icy road conditions. Please use caution if you must travel.
Residents are reminded to clear sidewalks in accordance with local snow ordinances. Do not shovel snow back into the roadway. If there is a fire hydrant near your property, the Fire Department asks for your assistance in clearing snow around it to ensure accessibility in an emergency.
Trash collection scheduled for Tuesday has been canceled. The recycling center will also remain closed.
Jersey Central Power & Light continues working to restore power throughout the area. If you are experiencing a power outage, please report it directly to JCP&L.
