Perry County remains in a Severe Drought category according to the US Drought Monitor which prompted the Perry County Commission to issue the advisory on Monday, February 23 after discussions with emergency management, local law enforcement and leadership from local municipalities regarding the lack of precipitation and wind forecasted for the region.
