Reckless Driving and Vandalism Lead to Arrest Following Needles Road Rage Incident
DATE/TIME: Saturday, February 21, 2026, at approximately 5:58 p.m.
INCIDENT: PC 245(A)(1) - Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Not a Firearm)
PC594(B)(1) - Vandalism over $400
LOCATION: 900 block of W Broadway Street, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): TANNER NUMAN, 23-years-old, Resident of Mohave Valley, AZ
VICTIM(S): CONFIDENTIAL
SUMMARY: On Saturday, February 21, 2026, at approximately 5:58 p.m., deputies assigned to the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to the 900 block of W Broadway Street in reference to a road rage incident that escalated into criminal behavior.
The investigation revealed that the victim was driving slowly along the roadway when the suspect, identified as Tanner Numan, became upset and initiated a verbal argument with the victim. During the confrontation, Numan drove into a nearby parking lot where he began performing reckless maneuvers with his vehicle, while the victim and witnesses feared being struck as they observed. Numan then threw a rock, hitting the victim's vehicle causing major damage.
Deputies located Numan's vehicle and conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Needles Hwy ad R Street. Numan was detained without further incident. Numan was subsequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Numan remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $40,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
