Armed Robbery Investigation

The Culver City Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Friday, February 20, 2026, in a shopping center parking lot located at 6150 W. Slauson Avenue.

At approximately 1:45 pm, Culver City Police responded to a report of a robbery that had just occurred. Officers arrived and located an adult male victim suffering from lacerations. Preliminary investigation indicates that an unknown suspect approached the victim from behind, pushed him to the ground, and demanded his property while brandishing a knife. Fearing for his safety, the victim surrendered his wallet and personal items. During the encounter, the suspect slashed the victim’s forearm with a knife before fleeing eastbound from the parking lot toward Hannum Avenue.

Culver City Fire Department personnel responded and provided the victim with medical treatment at the scene.

The suspect is described as a Male Black adult, approximately 6’2”, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Officers conducted an extensive area search; however, the suspect was not located. The investigation remains ongoing.
