Advisory
Post Storm Guidance Revised: Alternate side of the street parking will be suspended for the remainder of the week.
Post Storm Guidance:
A few flurries may linger, but the blizzard of 2026 is behind us. An estimated 17" of snow fell in our area, nearly double the totals from the previous storm.
Public Works crews continue working to clear roadways. This work will continue for several days, and additional snow is possible later this week, so please be patient.
Please remove all vehicles from municipal and school lots as soon as possible. Crews will work to clear those areas beginning at 7am on Tues, 2/24.
Alternate side of the street parking will be suspended for the remainder of the week.
Linden Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Feb 24, and Linden City Hall and non-essential services will operate on a 2-hour delayed opening. If your vehicle was towed during the storm you can pick up a release at our Records Bureau beginning at 10am.
Please remember that a modified recycling and garbage collection schedule is in effect for the remainder of the week.
DPW modified Schedule
District 1, 2, 3, 9, & 10
Bottles & Cans - Tues, 2/24
Garbage - Thurs 2/26
Districts 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8
Bottles & Cans - Wed 2/25
Garbage - Fri 2/27
Trash will be collected in District 8 onWed 2/25.
Also, residents and businesses owners are required to clear snow from sidewalks. Enforcement actions will be taken for violations beginning Wednesday morning.
Additionally, we are once again seeing significant issues with snow being thrown back into the street. It is particularly dangerous in areas where commercial properties push snow from parking lots into the street creating large boulders of compacted ice and snow. If the snow is on your property, it needs to stay on your property.
Finally, please remember that you are required by law to remove all snow from vehicles before driving.
Thank you for your continued cooperation. If you have a street that needs additional snow removal, please submit a request directly to Linden DPW using the Snow Removal Assistance Form at https://linden-
