Winter Storm Snow Clearing Operations in Progress - Please Clear Sidewalks & Fire Hydrants of Snow & Ice
The Monroe Township Department of Public Works will continue plowing and salting operations on Township roadways throughout the day. Residents are respectfully requested to keep vehicles off the streets to allow crews to clear roadways safely and efficiently.
Residents are also reminded that, pursuant to Monroe Township Ordinance 105-29, all property owners and tenants are responsible for removing snow and ice from the sidewalks adjacent to their property, as well as clearing snow from fire hydrants located on or near their property. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and helps ensure that children can travel safely to school and bus stops tomorrow morning.
The following roadways remain closed due to downed trees and utility wires:
- Federal Road – Closed between Applegarth Road and Perrineville Road.
- Monroe Boulevard – Closed between Federal Road and Gravel Hill–Spotswood Road.
Please refrain from blowing or shoveling snow back into the roadway.
