Alert

Special Weather Statement until 12:00AM Wednesday

With temperatures falling into the 20s, any runoff or standing water from melting snow will freeze, resulting in patchy black ice, especially on untreated roadways. Black ice is difficult to see and makes roads very slippery. In addition, light snow will develop late tonight, and up to a couple of inches of snow may accumulate by or just after sunrise. The highest accumulations will be over the southern Poconos. This, combined with the black ice, may impact the Wednesday morning commute. Slow down and give yourself extra time to travel tonight through Wednesday morning.
