INCIDENT: PC 664/187(A) – Attempt Murder
LOCATION: Seventh Street / Westside Road, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Joseph Outlaw, 36-year-old, Resident of Apple Valley
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at approximately 1:53 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to the area of Seventh Street and Westside Road for a domestic related assault.
During the investigation, deputies learned the victim and the suspect, Joseph Outlaw, were inside the victim’s vehicle as she was driving on Seventh Street. During the incident, Outlaw pushed the victim from the moving vehicle. Outlaw got into the drivers seat and drove the vehicle at the victim attempting to strike her with it. The victim was able to move out of the way and was not hit. Outlaw fled the area in the victim’s vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.
The vehicle was later located in the area of Zenda Street near Center Street. When deputies and detectives approached Outlaw, he fled on foot. After a short time, Outlaw was apprehended without further incident.
Joseph Outlaw was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto for, P.C. 664/187(A) – Attempt Murder.
