An investigation into the incident by Det. Robinson confirmed that Brasecker was responsible for the theft after camera footage by the owner confirmed Brasecker’s identity.
On February 10, Det. Robinson received an additional report that the same residence had been broken into again the day before, and that two trails cameras had been removed this time.
Camera footage again confirmed the identity of Brasecker along with Tate and Conley.
After locating two of the suspects at the residence of Michael Tate, the items were also recovered.
THREE CHARGED AFTER REPEATED BREAK-INS TO A LOCAL RENTAL
Detective Grant Robinson with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged the following individuals after multiple break-ins at a local residence:
- 33-year-old Samantha Lee Brasecker of Marion with felony Second degree Burglary. She was issued a secured bond of $30,000.
- 51-year-old Michael Dolphus Tate of Marion with felony Second Degree Burglary. He was given a secured bond of $30,000.
- Christopher Jerome Conley of Marion with felony Second Degree Burglary and felony Larceny After Breaking and/or Entering. He was initially denied bond due to already being out on pretrial release.
