Victor Valley Transit Operations Division Conducts Traffic Enforcement Operation in Hesperia

LOCATION: Farmington Avenue, between 11th and Maple, Hesperia
SUMMARY:
On Monday, February 23, 2026, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Transit Operations Division, conducted a targeted traffic enforcement operation in the city of Hesperia. Due to the construction and road closure/detours on Ranchero Road at the California aqueduct, residents have seen an increase in the amount of traffic through the surrounding residential neighborhoods.
The operation addressed complaints from local residences reference drivers’ disregard for posted residential speed limits, stop signs, and other unsafe driving behaviors. During the operation, deputies issued 39 citations for various traffic related violations, made five arrests, and towed four vehicles.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department reminds all residents and motorist to prioritize safety on local roadways by following California Vehicle Code laws and practicing safe and responsible driving habits. The Sheriff’s Department will continue proactive enforcement and public education efforts to help keep our communities safe.
