Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. requests the public’s help in identifying the male suspect pictured below, who entered a victim’s vehicle and took a bank card on February 18, 2026.
The suspect, captured on surveillance video, entered the vehicle at approximately 4:59 p.m. in a parking lot in the 100 block of Washington Street. He took the victim’s bank card, exited the vehicle, and walked away toward Raymond Boulevard. The suspect, who wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants, attempted to use the bank card, but was unsuccessful.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
