Special Weather Statement until 02:00AM Friday
Patchy dense fog has formed across portions of the Piedmont of the Carolinas, particularly near bodies of water, where visibility is less than a half mile in spots. The remainder of the night generally will be foggy, with dense fog and very low visibility becoming increasingly common after midnight. Visibility may decrease suddenly and over short distances due to the patchy nature of the fog. Motorists traveling on area roadways should use extra caution. Slow down, increase following distance, and turn on your low-beam headlights.
