...BAND OF HEAVY SNOW SATURDAY ALONG THE MINNESOTA RIVER VALLEY... .A quick hitting band of heavy snow is expected Saturday morning through the afternoon. Amounts will generally be on the order of 2 to 4 inches, but a narrow band of higher amounts (up to 6 inches) will likely set up somewhere within the advisory area. Snowfall rates may approach one inch per hour, which will lead to visibility reductions and hazardous travel. Snow will gradually end from west to east by Saturday evening.
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches, with a band of 3 to 5 inches along the Minnesota River.
* WHERE...In Minnesota, Carver, Dakota, Scott, Blue Earth, Faribault, Freeborn, Le Sueur, Rice, Steele, Waseca, Watonwan, and Goodhue Counties. In Wisconsin, Pepin and Pierce Counties.
* WHEN...From 6 AM to 9 PM CST Saturday.
