UPDATE: The situation has been remedied and there is no more impact to the public. US Highway 2 is now open to all traffic. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office There is a propane leak due to an overturned commercial vehicle at mile marker 139 on US Highway 2. US Highway 2 is closed from mile marker 138 to the intersection of US Highway 2 and US97 at the bottom of Pine Canyon. All residents between mile marker 138 and the intersection of US Highway 2 and US97 in Orondo are advised to shelter in place while clean up efforts continue. Please consider using US97 A, on the Chelan County side, for an alternate route. We will update as necessary.
