On March 3, 2026, suspects Ionut Constantin, male 25 years old, Antratida Barbu, female 24 years old, and Monalisa Stoian, female 45 years old, were arrested in connection to a grand theft person/elder abuse incident that occurred the previous day on the 500 block of Mayland Avenue in the city of La Puente. The victim was outside of his residence when the suspect vehicle, a 2017 black Ford Explorer with CA temp plate: ED73E54, stopped in front of the residence and the suspects called the victim over to the vehicle. The suspects asked the victim for directions to a local church and the front passenger exited the vehicle and approached the victim. The suspect then placed a fake gold necklace onto the victim’s neck while simultaneously removing the victim’s real gold necklace. The suspect returned to the vehicle with the victim’s gold necklace and the suspect vehicle left the location.
