* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following county, Cherokee and southwest Missouri, including the following counties, Jasper and Newton.
* WHEN...Until 330 AM CST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 924 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Joplin, Baxter Springs, Webb City, Carl Junction, Galena, Oronogo, Carterville, Duquesne, Leawood, Silver Creek, Shoal Creek Drive, Saginaw, Treece, Airport Drive, Lowell, Redings Mill, Grand Falls Plaza, Shoal Creek Estates, Dennis Acres, Cliff Village, Iron Gates, Oakland Park and Riverton. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
