The male victim, 26, was working at an area business when he confronted the suspect, who was shoplifting merchandise. The suspect pushed the victim and fled with the merchandise. The victim was uninjured. SUSPECT: Hispanic male adult.
2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (1910) 2700 Block of Country Club Boulevard, Civic District
The male victim, 59, was walking in the listed area with the known suspect when they began to argue. The two became involved in a mutual fight during which the suspect struck the victim with a bottle. The victim was transported to an area hospital for a non-life-threatening injury. SUSPECT: Black male adult.
3. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (2223), 100 Block of West Rose Street. Civic District
The juvenile victim and his brother got into a fight when the suspect hit the victim with a vacuum and tried to run the victim over with a vehicle. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and declined medical. ARRESTED: James Hughes, 31, for assault with a deadly weapon and child abuse.
4. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (2310) 100 Block of East Loretta Avenue. Lakeview District
The male victim, 60, observed the suspects trying to steal a bicycle from his garage. One of the suspects attacked the victim, hitting him with a baseball bat before fleeing. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and declined medical. SUSPECTS: Black male adult.
