Ontario, CA – The Ontario Police Department has arrested Israel Alejandro Carrizalez, a 29-year-old resident of Rancho Cucamonga, in connection with an attempted kidnapping.
On March 7, 2026, at approximately 10:09 p.m., officers responded to the 2700 block of East Inland Empire Boulevard regarding a disturbance in the roadway. A witness reported seeing a vehicle pull alongside a woman who was walking alone. The witness then heard the woman screaming for help and observed a male, later identified as Carrizalez, attempting to drag her into his vehicle. When the witness approached, Carrizalez released the victim and fled.
Officers quickly arrived and interviewed the victim and witnesses. The victim reported she had noticed the vehicle following her as she walked home before it pulled alongside her. Carrizalez exited the vehicle, grabbed her, and attempted to force her inside. The victim suffered minor scratches and torn clothing during the struggle. Witness statements corroborated the victim’s account and provided officers with a description of the suspect and vehicle.
Ontario Police Department Real Time Information Center personnel used intersection cameras to identify and track the suspect vehicle as it fled the area. Officers later located the vehicle at a residence in the 8700 block of Arrow Route in Rancho Cucamonga. Carrizalez was contacted at the residence, matched the descriptions provided, and was positively identified by the victim and witnesses. He was arrested without incident.
Due to the seriousness of the incident, detectives believe there may be additional victims. A photo of the suspect and vehicle is being released, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Ontario Police Department. Carrizalez was booked into the West Valley Detention Center on felony charges, including kidnapping and false imprisonment, and is being held on $500,000 bail.
