The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and the Department of General Services (DGS) would like to inform the community that Jackie Robinson Field at 3375 Minnesota Avenue SE will close for renovation starting March 9, 2026.
The project includes the restoration of two existing natural turf baseball fields, one with a 60’ diamond and one with a 90’ diamond. The field will be regraded and re-seeded to improve drainage. Also included is the installation of new sports lighting, a new ADA accessible ramp to the field, a batting cage, backstops, a scoreboard, a drinking fountain, bleachers with shade canopies, pathways, and signage.
The project is scheduled to be completed in Fall 2026.
