INCIDENT: PC243(d) - Battery with Serious Bodily Injury

SUSPECT(S): Male Juvenile, 16-years-old, Resident of Yucaipa
VICTIM(S): Male Juvenile, Resident of Yucaipa
SUMMARY: On Friday, March 6, 2026, at approximately 7:27 p.m., deputies from the Yucaipa Police Station received a call from a social worker at Loma Linda University Medical Center. The social worker reported that the victim had received injuries from an assault that occurred at school earlier in the day. Through investigation, detectives learned the suspect struck the victim several times causing significant injuries.
At approximately 8:23 p.m., Yucaipa deputies received a report from a parent in regard to a photograph on social media depicting a student holding a firearm. The photograph appeared to have been taken inside a bathroom at the school. Deputies and school officials identified the juvenile, depicted holding the firearm, as the same suspect who had assaulted the victim.
On Saturday, March 7, 2026, a search warrant was written and then served at the suspect's residence. The gun that was in the photograph was recovered and was found to be an air soft gun. The suspect was arrested for battery with serious bodily injury and booked into juvenile hall.
