Election Day is tomorrow, March 10th, at Bedford High School. Plan for extra traffic, delays and lane closures. Polls are open 7:00am – 7:00pm.
Officers will be in place to assist with traffic. Drive with caution while traveling in this area.
Traffic at the intersection of County Road and Nashua Road is being redirected to create a continuous traffic flow into and out of the campus.
Voters will only be able to access the voting from Nashua Road south from Route 101 in which they take a right turn only onto campus, or from County Road westbound onto campus.
During voting, there will be no left turns allowed from Nashua Road onto County Road. Also, there will be no left turns from County Road onto Nashua Road. All northbound traffic on Nashua Road will be stopped near the area of 54 Nashua Road.
Leaving the school, vehicles will only be allowed to go straight across onto County Road or a right turn onto Nashua Road.
Cars will find parking in a counterclockwise manner and be assisted by members of the Bedford Police Department and Bedford CERT. All traffic will have to take the first right after entering the school and then take the parking lot of their choice. Handicap parking is adjacent to the gymnasium entrance.
After voting, vehicles will exit in a counterclockwise fashion and off campus by travelling east on County Road or south on Nashua Road.
Local traffic and residents on Nashua Road between Wallace Road and County Road should detour via Wallace Road or Gage Road.
