Wilmington Police have arrested a man on a gun charge following a vehicle stop.
On February 27th at approximately 12:15 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Chestnut Street and South Adams Street in reference to a traffic violation. Officers made contact with 22-year-old Geremy Hampton and took him into custody without incident. Officers recovered a loaded .9mm handgun.
Hampton has been charged with the following offense in addition to traffic citations:
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
