Wilmington Police continues investigation into 2012 shooting after victim’s death: 
The Wilmington Police Department is continuing its investigation into a 2012 shooting incident, following the victim’s death last month.
On November 12, 2012, police responded to the area of 9th and Clayton Streets in reference to a shooting incident that had occurred. Officers located 29-year-old David Nocho, who had been shot and was transported to the hospital.
Nocho remained under medical care since the incident, and succumbed to his injuries in February. Following a death investigation conducted by the Delaware Division of Forensic Sciences, Nocho’s death was determined to have been a result of injuries sustained in this shooting incident, and will now be investigated as a murder.
This incident remains under active investigation by the Wilmington Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, and anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the WPD Cold Case Unit at (302) 576-3937.
