Free Rabies Vaccination Clinic in Delhi on August 12 from 5-7 pm at the Delhi Fire Hall

The Town of Delhi wants you to know about a free rabies vaccination clinic for dogs, cats, and ferrets. The clinic, hosted by Delaware County Public Health Services, will be held on Wednesday, August 12, from 5-7 pm at the Delhi Fire Hall.

Pre-registration is open now at http://health.ny.gov/go2clinic and is highly recommended to make check-in faster. Dogs must be on a leash & under proper control. Cats and Ferrets should be in a carrying case.

NYS law requires every dog and cat to be vaccinated against rabies. Pets can get their first rabies vaccine at 3 months. Please bring the previous vaccination record to verify if your pet is eligible for 3-year coverage.

Rabies is a preventable viral infection of mammals, usually transmitted by an infected animal’s bite. Rabies is prevalent throughout North America and is diagnosed every year in Delaware County.
