At 1209 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Walnut to near Mccune to 7 miles east of Coffeyville. Movement was northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Pittsburg, Prairie State Park, Nevada, Fort Scott, Carl Junction, Frontenac, Columbus, Galena, Girard, Arma, Marmaton, Liberal, Cherokee, Weir, Sheldon, Sherman, Mulberry, Scammon, Chicopee, and Mccune.
