The Public Works Department is seeking a candidate to perform general labor duties including, but not limited to; operate a wide range of equipment/tools to maintain roads, parks, and buildings, handle heavy materials on construction, maintenance and repair projects, snow removal procedures, carpentry, mechanics, janitorial duties, tree maintenance experience or arborist certification a plus.
Job qualifications: ability to read, write and understand English, ability to follow direction, both oral and written, ability to lift heavy objects continuously under varying weather conditions. Valid New Jersey Driver’s License a must. CDL B will be required within 6 months of hire. Background check including criminal history, physical exam, drug screen, NJ Motor Vehicle Abstract and employment history will be conducted.
Hours of operation: 7:00am – 3:30pm Monday thru Friday.
