OPD Requests Community Assistance in Prowling Investigation
The Oakland Police Department (OPD) requests that community members contact us if they believe they were victims or have information about prowling incidents involving 62-year-old Casimiro Munoz Gomez.
On Tuesday, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office charged Gomez with multiple counts of peeking while loitering. He was arrested just before 11:00 a.m. on March 9, 2026, in the 3700 block of Carrington Street.
OPD Investigators believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. Community tips have been vital to this investigation, and OPD encourages anyone with information or who has experienced similar incidents to report them.
OPD thanks community members who have already provided information to support this investigation. The department continues to rely on partnerships with our residents to help keep neighborhoods safe.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation. To report information or incidents, please call the OPD Special Victims Unit at (510) 238-3641.
