Conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes, large hail, and damaging wind gusts across the watch area this afternoon and early evening.

A line of strong thunderstorms associated with a cold front moving through Texas may intensify as atmospheric instability increases. Storms could become severe as they move across Southeast Texas during the afternoon hours.
