Scam Alert - Rosenberg, TX

The City of Rosenberg and the Rosenberg Police Department want to alert residents about a scam currently circulating in the area.
Scammers are calling citizens and claiming they missed Municipal Court jury duty and must immediately pay a fine. In some cases, the caller is masking their phone number so it appears the call is coming from the City of Rosenberg. This is a scam!
The City of Rosenberg and the Rosenberg Police Department will NOT call you demanding payment for a missed jury duty fine.
Do NOT pay any fines over the phone. All fines should be paid in person through official channels.
If you receive a call like this or have concerns about jury duty or fines, please verify directly with Municipal Court at 832-595-3450.
